Visual Reporting
The Visual Reporting feature provides an at-a-glance representation of key grade book reports including overall section averages, course grade distribution, class performance over a period of time, and a progress snapshot of current assignment grades and recently past due assignment grades.
With an increased focus on assessment, student retention and success, the new reports will provide the progress snapshot instructors are looking for to help them make informed decisions about their students. The new student dashboard report shows students how they have performed by assignment, assignment type and their class ranking.
Item Analysis
Instructors will have the opportunity to select an assignment and view detailed statistics on student performance for each question. Statistics would include but are not limited to, number of times correct, number of times incorrect, number of student submissions and number of student attempts.
Instructors can use student's performance on individual items to understand what students have mastered and what they are struggling with. This helps them focus on what to emphasize and clarify in their lectures and better prepare for exam review sessions and create better assignments over time.
Managing Individual Assignment Parameters
Instructors can choose assignment settings for an individual student, rather than just for the whole class, greatly improving the control of the exceptions functionality. Individual settings include due date, repeatability, mastery/quick retake, time limit, and offline printing. A list of students is available to choose who should fall under these assignment settings. Settings can be edited or deleted at any time. Passwords are now optional.
Helps instructors manage missed assignments, special needs students and specific situations that arise during a course where instructors need an easy way to adjust assignment settings. With this new functionality, instructors can set this ahead of time or whenever it's needed to really personalize the assignment offering for each student.
Improved Interface
Common daily tasks are easily accessible through the menu items at any time, such as assignment creation, viewing gradebook reports, and accessing additional study tools.
